The Goodlife Farm Daylily Program
Growing and hybridizing daylilies has been part of our life for nearly 25 years. Like many growers, for us it started as a hobby and then transitioned into a growing operation beginning in 2015.
Our goal is to produce beautiful flowers on strong hardy plants that perform well in the garden.
It can take up to 7 years for a new variety developed from seed to be ready for the garden. Over the past 5 years we have identified nearly 100 varieties that we are developing for registration/sale, as well as to be used in our breeding program. We currently have about 3000 seedlings, many of which are offered for sale each summer during our open house here at the farm.
We are excited to announce that this summer we acquired the daylily program of Dan and Jackie Bachman, Valley of the Daylilies. Retiring after 30 years of growing great daylilies for the home garden, many nationally recognized, Dan and Jackie have entrusted their work to us. Much of our breeding work is built on varieties from their program.
Beginning in the Spring of 2021 we will be offering both Goodlife and Bachman varieties for sale during our Summer open house and through our online store beginning in the Fall of 2021.
